Friendly customers. Great beer selection. And great service. And was willing to make me something to eat when the kitchen was closed. Thanks again

Drove an hour and a half to help out a friend and dined here. This place is worth the trip. Best fried pickles I have had in forever. Horseshoe was delicious and gigantic. Very well may just drive back here to sample some of their other delights.

The Wood Duck has the best horseshoes South of Springfield! The drink prices aren't to bad and the atmosphere is great. The only negative I can find is the owner (Kate) is a Blackhawks fan. Stop by today, treat yourself to a delicious lunch, and yell a "Let's Go Blues" before you go.

Been here twice in two weeks - this place is great. Family friendly for sure and also adult friendly. The food is awesome. One word. Horseshoes. Amazing. Great vibe - the owner is just awesome as could be. Always look forward to the Duck.

Let me be the first to say... The grilled chicken here kicks butt. It's very tasty, yes, very tasty... That being said, if you order it to top your salad, I'd recommend you order THREE extra servings for this place TOTALLY SKIMPS on the protein-packed addition... And let me be honest when I say, if you don't get any protein topping on this salad, it's quite the pathetic "dinner" portion salad. I'm scared to see what a side salad looks like. Oh and also, the salad is comprised of pre-bagged Iceburg lettuce and julienned carrots... Not bad, but I mean, for being the most expensive menu item... Not good either.
I wound up getting:
- Dinner salad
- Plus 2 portions of chicken
- Plus 1 more portion of chicken after I saw the measly servings I was give
- No cheese or dressing
- Sautéed onions
Over all, this salad left me satisfied for oh 2 hours, then I was ravenous again, but I guess I was okay with that because dinner was going to be a feast! Perhaps this restaurant foreshadowed for me and wanted to make sure I'd be hungry for the main event... Well, it worked!
